About Music Editor Igo Kantor

Igo Kantor was hired by Jameson Brewer to handle music editing on Battle of the Planets. His main job was finding appropriate locations to insert Hoyt Curtin's music pieces into episodes. He did not work directly with Hoyt Curtin. Kantor has had a long career in film and TV, working with some of the more colorful B-movie production personnel, including Ed Wood on Bride of the Monster (1956) and Russ Meyer on Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965). Some of his television work includes the series Father Knows Best (as music editor, 1954) and The Monkees (music editor and music coordinator, 1966). He has also worked such varied positions as editor, technical advisor, composer and producer during his years in entertainment.
